# Calls and messages to landlines

Calls to a supplied End User landline phone number will connect as expected.  The number must be formatted correctly, see the 'Phone number format guidelines' section.  

Messages to a supplied End User landline phone number will **usually not send** (some territories will automatically attempt to convert the text message to voice. In both cases charges will apply).

**Note:** this automatic conversion is not part of the Ask Harry service.
